The Joyce-Loebl Heritage
Originally founded in 1951 Joyce-Loebl was acquired by and became part of the Vickers group of companies by 1977 and became part of the Petards Group in 2001.
Following the change in the nature of the threats faced by following the end of the 'Cold War', Joyce-Loebl responded by specialising enabling its customers to benefit from its engineering expertise in the following niche areas:
Communications and Information Systems - specialists in the supply of ruggedized solutions for Airborne, Ship-borne and Land applications. We are also suppliers to the MoD and NATO catalogue for radio equipment.
Armoured Vehicle Control Systems - a complete service in the design, manufacture and re-manufacture/repair of the non-weapon related control systems.
Electronic Countermeasures - specialists in Countermeasures Dispensing Systems, the physical means by which an aircraft launches either chaff to defeat radar guided missiles, or flares to defeat infra-red guided missiles.
